YuGiOh-Core.Info Joins the DuelCOM Network!

With YuGiOh Online 3 coming soon, myself and other website owners have decided to begin the DuelCOM Network, short for Duel Community Networks is a new organization to bring the entire community of YuGiOh Online together, rather than keeping all forums separate little areas we will work together with as many as possible to run massive events, better information sharing, and all other areas that the Konami developers cannot cover, us as a community will be responsible for this.

www.duelaccelerator.com

DeckZone

YuGiOh-Core.Info

www.ygo2values.com

So far the sites that are marked in Bold have fully enacted the DuelCOM Network by adding the navigation bar on to the top of their sites. The Leaders of the DuelCOM Network are the admins of the sites that are in it, granted the more say is put in depending on the ground work that is done by each admin, but either way you are having the best input from some of the most trusted members in the community. Mission Statement DuelCOM’s first act within the community is to bring the entire YuGiOh Online Community together under one super community. This means that all the sites that join into the network will be asked to do the following.

Share Information in mis-practice in the community.(IE Scammers.)

Work together on larger scale events. * Cross forum titles for larger events.

Helping each other out with Technology Issues.

Professionalizing our Web Development.

On RMT / Shops

We neither condemn or promote stores greatly, but as the economic backbone of the YO Community, to promote large scale events, we need sponsorship, and those within the circle of trust of the DuelCOM will be rewarded with contracts for our larger scale events to keep their business going and our events bustling with new Dueling talent. But we cannot include Stores in our main practice, as many sites like to stay independent away from Store Interests for their MP Valuation and such, and as a Community Wide project, we wish to respect these wishes.

Centralizing Criminality into One Shame ID

Vertecles Deckzone’s Scammer and Trusted Lists have been very successful, and now with more development we can move this further into a new area of giving the ‘Criminals’ of the YuGiOh Online Community and Identity to make sure any players who visit a DuelCOM Site will know who and who not to trust even if the person in question is not a member of these sites, we have to let these people know, we are watching every little move they make. This as we see it will be a great deterent on scamming and general jerkery in the community. This shame ID will rate their actions and show you how bad the individual is. Granted we realize this could have a negative effect, but for now it is an idea in development and I thought it was worthwhile telling you about it.

We are currently Inviting members into the DuelCOM Network, when we are accepting applications there shall be another announcement, with certain criteria for joining up which we are adhering to ourselves at the moment.

Ardaam Vastacon President & DuelAccelerator.com Admin

V3rt Vertecles DeckZone Founder and Admin

GMKevin2003 ROYuGiOh, ygo2Values & DX Owner & All round Gentleman

And all our behind the scenes people@DuelCOM

There is also sketchy info about a “Starterpass”. Apparently this will give you one of 3 random decks based on either Goyo Guardian, Black Rose Dragon or Powertool Dragon. Each deck features cards that were used by their respective owners in the anime (Officer Trudge, Akiza, and Leo). The Starterpass will also include a DVD and a Premium Pack 12. All other details are currently unknown.

There is also information about new Avatar parts.

As can be seen in the picture, there will be new duel disks, cloths and masks. It is not yet confirmed exactly how to obtain these avatar parts.

Click here to read about the newest YO3 update!

Many new features are now available in beta. You can now trade in the shop, play match duels, duel old NPCs from YO2, customize duels, send friend requests, view a players full avatar, and enjoy new sounds as well as a brand new synchro summon cut scene.

The trade option in the shop works by selecting a card from the list of cards given. (These include no event cards but it seems they have just about every pack card available with the exception of The Duelist Genesis and Crossroads of Chaos). Then you trade in any 50 cards from your trunk, it seems it can be any card at all that you own and there doesnt seem to be a limit to how many of the same card you can trade in. While 50 cards seems a bit much for 1 pack card, it is nice to see that you are able to select the card you trade for as opposed to a random card being selected for you.

The last button brings up a list of the old NPCs from YO2. Interestingly, all of them now have a level next to their name. This most likely indicates their difficulty. All of your previous scores with the NPCs will be reset and you will have 0 Wins and 0 Losses.

Match duels can now be played in both Auto Duel and in duels you create. In the box on the left side of the screen that displays the players names and levels, most of the other buttons on the top are now accessible. The first button is 2 swords that are crossed. This represents a duel already in progress. Clicking this will bring up a list of players that are currently dueling. The second button is a single sword. This shows players that have a single duel set up and are awaiting an opponent. The third button has 3 swords. This shows players that have a match duel set up and are awaiting an opponent.

You can now also customize duels quite a bit. You can choose single or match, surrender on/off, the opponents level, limit your opponents to friends or teamates, the language of the opponent, as well as the LP and time limitations. You can start off with 8000 or 4000 LP, or you can do an Automatic Handicap. I selected this option and when the duel started my opponent had 9000 LP at the start of the duel. He was 8 levels lower than me so maybe the amount of the handicap is determined by the levels of both players. And you can also change the wait time per turn as well as for the entire duel.

Click here to read an overview of YO3 so far.

Well with just 4 short weeks until the full release of YO3, we have found out quite a bit about what to expect from it. However so much of what is to come is still unknown. Here are some of the things we already know we will enjoy.

Free Dueling: Surely this is the most appealing aspect of the new game to most players. The ability to duel to your hearts content without spending a dime.

Card Renting/Trading: Sure you will have to pay to get pack cards from now on, but these new options lessen this blow considerably. If you truly can trade in old unwanted cards for new more useful ones, you may not have to spend very much at all to better your decks.

New NPCs/Avatar Items/Cards: YO2 has gone without fresh content for far to long. Now that dueling will be free, dueling NPCs seems a lot more appealing. And with several new packs awaiting us, all new decks and strategies will emerge in the online dueling world.

Deck Edit Advances: If you have spent any reasonable amount of time in the YO3 beta, you should have noticed by now the new options in deck edit. For starters you no longer have to drag the cards from the trunk to the deck area. A simple double click on the card in the trunk will move it automatically. There is a new filter option which makes it drastically easier to search for a certain type of card. You can filter anything from cards that increase/decrease lifepoints to cards that allow you to draw. You can also now search out groups of cards like Flip Effect, Spirits, Geminis, Toons, and LV Monsters, Tuners, and Union Monsters. We also now have a Tag function which is activated by right clicking a card in your trunk 1 or more times. This function would be much better if the tags stayed on even after you exit deck edit so that you could save a group of cards that you would use in just about every deck such as Monster Reborn, Heavy Storm, Mirror Force and the like. Or you could group together cards that might work well in a side deck. Unfortunatly right now at least, if you leave deck edit any tags that you place on your cards will be erased. This is something that I am hoping will change with the full release.

Many More to Come: There is no doubt that there are many other upgrades and improvements that will be released in the near future. The end to the wait is just around the corner.

Beyond the above list, there is still so many questions that are left unanswered. Everyone is curious about what awaits us on March 1st and some of the things we would love to know include:

What are the other 5 unknown areas for? It has been speculated that 1 will be an area for events (GS, DT, AT, YOC) and that another will be an Arcade, were minigames can be played. But we really dont know anything else. Unfortunatly the names like Stadium and Satellite Plaza dont give much insight at all to the area’s contents.

How much will cards cost? Ok so we know that we will be able to buy Boosterpasses to get Boosterpoints to use in the shop to buy packs. But again this doesnt tell us too much. Will the cost of a Boosterpass be the same as a Duelpass? Will you recieve 30 Boosterpoints for every Boosterpass? If so and the cost of a pack stays at 15 Boosterpoints, thats only 2 packs per Boosterpass. Not good at all really. Will a Boosterpass be the same as a Duelpass in that you will recieve a Structure Deck? Or will the Structure Decks be placed in the shop and we will have to spend Boosterpoints to obtain them? There are a lot of unknowns here.

Whats the point of the Avatars? So far the only time Avatars are seen during gameplay is during a duel. And even then only a head shot is shown. Are there going to be areas were our Avatars will walk around and interact?

How many packs will be released? It seems likely that when the full version is released, we will at least have the packs that we had during the beta. But thats not set in stone. We could go back to only having The Duelist Genesis, or we could get all the packs that are in the database all the way up to Stardust Overdrive.

Tag Duels? Its been a long on going discussion. When will we get to have Tag Duels online? There has been no concrete evidence that Konami has any plans at all to include them in YO3. But most remain hopeful regardless.
